How I help

No two clients need the same thing. Here is what the work looks like.

Media strategy and positioning

We figure out what your story is, who needs to hear it, and how to become the person reporters call. Margo Lindauer is now the expert newsrooms turn to on the cases the country is watching, from the Karen Read lawsuit to the Diddy sentencing.

On-camera coaching

Interviews are a skill, and I spent three decades in newsrooms teaching it. Before the light comes on, or the reporter starts asking questions, we work on the message, the delivery, and the moments that make a clip worth sharing.

An extension of your team

Some clients have a comms team and want an EP's judgment inside it. The Lede Company, a national firm out of New York and Los Angeles, brings me in at the strategy level to work alongside the people they already have. I stay as long as I am useful.

Getting your story told

Pitching, placing, and landing coverage where it counts. Three decades of hiring, training, and working alongside journalists means I have direct lines into newsrooms across the country. Client stories have run on the franchises people watch, from WBZ's Change Makers to WCVB's 5 for Good, NPR's Here & Now.

Taking a story national

Some stories deserve a bigger audience, and getting there is deliberate work. When Dale Stephanos's portrait of Betty White became a U.S. postage stamp, the story ran on TODAY.com.

Looking around corners

The most interesting work is spotting the story before it exists. I positioned Empire Loan ahead of an economic shift, and when Boston 25 ran the story, it became one of their highest-performing digital stories, reaching hundreds of thousands of people.

Kind words

"I'm so grateful to have Paige Tatum in charge of my media presence. If anyone is looking for a super positive, energetic, charismatic powerhouse of a media consultant, Paige Tatum is the answer!"

Dale Stephanos

Award winning Illustrator

"She's one of those executive producers who ran a newsroom like it was hers. Sharp, decisive, the kind of woman who made everyone around her better. She left the news, moved to Boston, and found her way to the strategy side. And when she reached out to me about an idea, I knew immediately this was a story I wanted to share."

Lenise Ligon

host, Living It Up with Lenise

"A talented media leader turned incredible publicist and now friend. So gifted in creating trust with opportunities to use my voice. She is an earth angel."

Sanna McAuliffe

Founder, Happy on Main

For three decades, Paige Tatum decided which stories made the news and which didn't. An Emmy®-winning Executive Producer and longtime newsroom leader, today she brings that same editorial judgment to people doing work that matters.

Three decades in the newsroom. Now in your corner.
